  11. I am looking for recommendations for a compiler to be used to teach
  12. c++ to high school students.  The machines they will be using will
  13. most likely be Pentium machines with 16 Meg of RAM.  Objects, classes,
  14. etc. are not really an issue. At this level students just need to
  15. learn the syntax and basic programming concepts.
  16. Since I will be taking a c++ course this summer, it follows that I
  17. currently do not know the language, but I need to make a
  18. recommendation for the software purchase.
  19. My solution is to ask the people who know. Borland, Microsoft, GNU ?
